  • Students can prepare for their degree at UQ by learning English at the University’s Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE-UQ). ICTE-UQ also offers short-term English programs for general, academic and business purposes, English teacher training and professional development programs.
  • Students who require ‘bridging’ studies between secondary (high school/year 12) studies and undergraduate university study can take advantage of the Foundation Year program offered by International Education Services (IES), based in Brisbane. Students who successfully achieve to the specific standards in the Foundation Year program are guaranteed an offer into undergraduate program at UQ.
  • Study Abroad and Student Exchange programs are available for students who are studying at overseas institutions that have an agreement with UQ, and who wish to come to UQ for up to two semesters to undertake some of UQ’s exciting courses.

First-class services and facilities
UQ offers first-class facilities and services, with students benefiting from excellent academic and support services (including free academic and communication preparation programs, international student advisors, airport reception and assistance with finding temporary and longer-term accommodation), fully-equipped and IT-enabled libraries and up-to-date IT facilities.
