University lecturers and curriculum
The content and delivery of QIBT courses is of the highest quality. Diploma courses consist of first year subjects derived from Griffith University degree courses and are delivered and moderated by some of Griffith University's finest lecturers. The University's high standards are maintained at all times.

Small lecture and tutorial groups
QIBT promotes a personalised and supportive educational philosophy that ensures students reach their maximum potential. Lectures contain an average of only thirty students and are complimented by small group tutorials and workshops. Lecturers are also available for private consultation after class.

Longer teaching sessions
In keeping with its supportive approach, QIBT provides more teaching hours per subject. Instead of the traditional three hour teaching block, QIBT conducts its classes in four hour sessions. This extra academic contact allows students to fully develop their knowledge and understanding of each subject.

Extra study support
Academic Skills Advisors are available to assist students who require additional academic support during their course of study at QIBT. For international students requiring English and study skills support, and English for Academic Studies course is also provided. Attendance is free of charge.

Three semester fast track system
The scheduling of three semesters per year is another example of QIBT's innovative educational approach. QIBT students are able to fast track their studies and enter second year university ahead of other students in the traditional two semester system. Intakes occur in February, June and October each year.

Flexible study options
Most QIBT courses are two semesters in duration but students may extend their studies over three semesters if they wish to reduce their academic load.

Part-time study is available to Australian students, with both day and evening lectures offered.

Entry to second year university
QIBT Diploma courses are based on the first year of Griffith University degree courses. Upon successful completion of a QIBT Diploma course students may transfer to the second year of Griffith University's related degree courses with a full year's credit. Alternatively, students may transfer to a wide range of other universities around Australia.
